Catch Me if You Can, I am the Gingerbread man!

We had a great day today. We started the day with all the grade 1 students listening to the story the Gingerbread Baby.   We went to the gym and learned some lacrosse skills.  Thank you to the Roughnecks for sending two free tickets to a game, they came home in folders.

We arrived back to the classroom afterwards and discovered that the gingerbread baby was missing!
Our grade 6 buddies came to help all the grade 1's look for the gingerbread baby around the school.
The grade 6 students helped us find clues on a scavenger hunt to find the gingerbread baby.  The Gingerbread baby was in the grade 1 class.  We all celebrated by enjoying a gingerbread cookie together and some dancing.

In Math we discovered all of our Power of Ten cards were mixed up so, we had to sort them and organize them by colour and letters.  Tomorrow we will learn a new math game called Making 10 Go Fish with Power of Ten Cards.

After lunch the students made cards to give to their grade 6 buddies when we gather tomorrow afternoon.  We will be making cards to send off to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

We ended the day will poem reading with all the grade 1 students.
