Highlights Of Our Learning:
We talked about the important information that needs to be included on an invitation and then we created a "Save the Date" page that is coming home in folders today. Please note the date and plan to join us on February 6th as your child will be sharing and celebrating some of their grade one work with you.

• It was so cold outside, we had indoor recess and lunch recess.  Alyaa
• We sat in the gathering area for lunch today because there was a lego centre set up in the Learning Commons.  Abraham
• This afternoon, we finished our Winter tree.  Abby
• This morning we were super creative because Mrs. Swanson challenged us to make a snowflake out of pattern blocks.  Many of us were very creative.  Carson-We used pattern block shapes (hexagons, triangles, squares, diamonds and trapezoids) to create beautiful snowflakes. Each snowflake had six identical branches. Please ask your child what they have learned about snowflakes so far.
• Ask me what literacy centre I was at today. 
• Students learned one way to illustrate snowflakes and practiced on their invitations coming home.

• Scholastic book orders are coming home today.  Orders online are due  Friday, January 17th, 2020.
• Thank you for returning your child's report card envelope signed under term one.
• Thank you for returning your home reading.  Please remember to exchange it regularly.
• Please remember to send folders everyday for notices.
• Healthy Hunger special lunch is on Thursday January 23rd.  If you want to order, please do so before Friday, January 16th.
• Oral Health for Kindergarten's/Grade 1's on January 13th-15th.
• No school for students on Friday January 31st.
